From Amish Country to the Low Country
Ohio is a well-known Amish community where simple values like loyalty, responsibility, integrity, and faith are a way of life. The area is also known for its superior, old-fashioned craftsmanship. Norman Troyer, an Amish preacher, combined all these qualities and offered them to every customer that came through the door of Troyer’s Furniture Store. The venture soon became a thriving business that is still prospering today.
Norman’s son, Matt, learned the value and traditions of the Amish furniture industry while working with his father at Troyer’s Furniture Store. This knowledge, combined with his faith in the virtues of a superior line of furniture, inspired Matt to open Charleston Amish Furniture in Charleston, SC.
Matt’s strong ties with select Amish craftsmen in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana brings a new choice for beautiful solid wood furniture to the Low Country of South Carolina and Charleston.
